Peshawari Chappal for Weddings and Eid: What to Pick

Weddings and Eid are when most of us buy a new pair of Peshawari chappals. The outfit is planned weeks ahead, the tailor is chased for days, and then the chappals get picked in a hurry at the end. This guide is here to make that last step easy. It covers what to pick for the groom, for the mehndi, for guests and family, and for Eid morning, plus a few honest tips on buying a pair as a gift and ordering in time.
For the groom: nikkah, baraat and walima
The groom is photographed from every side, and the chappals show up in more pictures than you would think. This is the day for a pair with a bit of polish and a clean, classic shape.
- Old Money Black: black high chrome leather with a soft sheen, not matte and not high gloss. It looks dressed up without trying too hard, and it suits a black, navy, grey or charcoal waistcoat.
- Heritage Chestnut: made from the same leather in a warm chestnut brown. A lovely match for cream, beige, camel and gold tones.
- Old Money Brown: the Old Money shape in imli brown, for a groom who wants a brown with its own character.
All three sit on a medium tyre and cork sole, which looks proper with formal clothes and still feels steady for a long day of standing, greeting and walking. You can see our finest pairs together in Baaz Premium.
For the mehndi
The mehndi is the relaxed, colourful night, so the chappals can relax too. Suede is a natural fit here. It has a soft texture that suits brighter clothes and looks less formal than leather.
Navy Harbour Dune works with white, yellow and green outfits. Chocolate brown Coco Dune and beige Autumn Dune Air are both on a light EVA foam sole, about 300 to 350 grams per chappal, which helps when the dholki goes on late. Browse every suede pair in suede Peshawari chappals.
For guests, brothers and family
If you are going to a wedding rather than getting married, you want to look sharp without stealing the show. The safest rule is simple: black for evening functions, brown for daytime ones.
Black leather on a medium sole works for almost every event. Have a look at black Peshawari chappals. If the dress code is cream, beige or earthy, a pair from brown Peshawari chappals will sit better with it.
Brothers and cousins often like to match. Ordering the same pair in different sizes is an easy way to look like one family in the photos, without everyone wearing the same kameez.
For Eid morning

Eid is a long day on your feet. Prayer, then visits, then more visits, often with the same pair from morning till night. Comfort matters as much as looks.
A lighter sole makes a real difference by the evening. Midnight Legacy is black leather on a light EVA foam sole, smart enough for Eid prayers and easy to wear all day. You will find it with our other light pairs in lightweight Peshawari chappals.
One more tip for Eid and weddings alike: do not wear a brand new pair for the first time on the big day. Wear them around the house for a few days first so the leather softens and settles to your foot.
Giving a pair as a gift
A pair of handmade chappals is a thoughtful gift for a groom, a father or a brother at Eid. The only tricky part is the size. A few things help:
- Find out the size he wears in the chappals he already likes. A quiet word with his family usually does it.
- Our regular pairs come in sizes 40 to 46. For bigger feet, our Big and Tall range goes up to size 50.
- If the size still turns out wrong, you have 15 days to exchange it, so the gift is not wasted.
Order in good time
Every pair is handmade in KP. Order early so your pair arrives with time to spare and to break it in. Big and Tall pairs are made to order and take about 14 days, so plan those a little earlier still.
Delivery is free anywhere in Pakistan, and you pay cash when your chappals arrive.
