Big Feet? Finding Peshawari Chappals in Size 47 to 50

If you wear size 47 or bigger, you already know how it goes. You find a Peshawari chappal you like, ask for your size, and the shopkeeper shakes his head. Or he hands you a 46 and says it will open up with wear. It won't, not enough. A chappal that is too short pushes your toes to the front edge and your heel off the back, and no amount of walking fixes that.
Plenty of tall men wear 47, 48 and up. Most shops simply don't keep those sizes because they sit on the shelf longer. So we stopped treating big sizes as a shelf problem and started making them to order.
How we make sizes 47 to 50
Our regular range runs from size 40 to 46. For bigger feet there is a separate Big and Tall range in sizes 47, 48, 49 and 50, and a few styles also list 46 there. These pairs are made to order. Your chappal is cut and stitched in your size after you order, not pulled from a pile of leftovers.
It is the same leather, the same sole and the same hand stitching as the regular pair. We don't make a cheaper "big size version". If anything a large chappal needs more care, because there is more leather and more weight on every stitch.
Which styles come in big sizes
Right now ten of our designs have a Big and Tall version:
- Midnight Legacy and Baaz Signature Black: both black, both on a light EVA foam sole. Midnight Legacy is glossy high chrome leather, Signature Black is soft cowhide suede. A good pick if you are on your feet all day and want less weight.
- Old Grain: tan leather on the same light EVA sole, easy to wear with almost anything.
- Heritage Chestnut: rich brown high chrome leather on a rubber sole. A traditional look that sits well with shalwar kameez.
- Autumn Dune and Graphite Grace: beige and grey suede on a thick tyre and cork sole. These have the bold, chunky look.
- Burnt Cedar and Charred Cedar: brown and black cow leather, hand stitched, with a clean modern shape for everyday wear.
- Raw Cedar and Raw Black: our simplest and most affordable pairs, in genuine cow leather.
You can see all of them together on the Big and Tall page. Each product page shows the exact sizes and price for that style.
Choosing a style for a bigger foot
Think about the sole first. A bigger chappal is a heavier chappal, simply because there is more of it. If you walk a lot or stand for long hours, an EVA foam sole makes a real difference by the end of the day. Midnight Legacy, Signature Black and Old Grain are the light ones. Our lightweight Peshawari chappals page explains the idea in more detail.
Then think about colour. On a large foot, dark colours look neater and more compact. Black and deep brown keep the shape sharp and go with almost everything. Browse the black Peshawari chappals and brown Peshawari chappals to compare. Beige and grey suede are the opposite: they make a statement, and that is the point. If you want to be noticed at a wedding or a dawat, go light.
Leather or suede? Leather takes a shine and is easy to wipe clean. Suede is softer and has a warmer, richer look but wants a bit more care. We wrote a whole guide on this: Leather or Suede? How to Choose Your Peshawari Chappal. You can also see every suede pair on our suede Peshawari chappals page.
Getting the size right
Go by your foot, not by the number inside your joggers. Sizes change from brand to brand, and our soles run a little longer than the generic charts you find online. A few simple habits help:
- Measure in the evening. Feet are slightly bigger at the end of the day, and that is when a chappal needs to feel right.
- Measure both feet. Most people have one foot a little longer than the other. Order for the longer one.
- If you are between two sizes, or your foot is wide as well as long, message us before you order. We would much rather spend two minutes on WhatsApp than have you wait for a pair that doesn't fit.
We are putting together a proper size guide with measurements for every size. Until then, a quick message is the most reliable way to get it right.
Ordering and looking after them
Big and Tall pairs are ordered online like any other Baaz chappal, with cash on delivery across Pakistan. Because they are made to order, they take a little longer than pairs we already have in stock. We will tell you the timing when we confirm your order.
Once they arrive, treat them the way you would any good leather. Keep them dry, let them air out, and give them a wipe now and then. Our leather chappal care guide covers the simple routine that keeps a pair going for years. And if you are leaning towards black, the black Peshawari chappal guide walks through every black pair we make.
Big feet should not mean settling for whatever fits. Pick the style you actually like, and we will make it in your size.
