Suede Peshawari Chappals: A Plain Guide to All Six Pairs

Suede is the softer side of the chappal world. It has a brushed, velvety surface, a matte look and a rich colour that polished leather can't quite match. If you are thinking about a suede Peshawari chappal but aren't sure which pair to pick, this guide lays out all six of our suede pairs in plain words, so you can choose the one that fits how you live.
What suede actually is
Every suede pair we make is cut from cowhide suede. It is real leather, just finished differently: instead of a smooth, shiny face, the surface is brushed so it feels soft to the touch and looks deep and even in colour. That is why suede chappals look so good in beige, navy and grey, colours that can look flat on polished leather.
The trade off is simple. Suede looks richer and feels softer, while polished leather is easier to wipe clean. If you are still deciding between the two, our article Leather or Suede? How to Choose Your Peshawari Chappal goes through it side by side.
Our six suede pairs at a glance

All six are handmade in KP from cowhide suede, and all six have a dotted memory foam insole. What changes from pair to pair is the colour and the sole underneath.
- Baaz Signature Black: black suede on a light EVA foam sole, stitched rather than glued. Rs 9,450.
- Coco Dune: chocolate brown suede on an ultralight EVA foam sole, about 300 to 350 grams per chappal. Rs 9,450.
- Autumn Dune Air: beige suede on the same ultralight EVA foam sole, also about 300 to 350 grams per chappal. Rs 9,450.
- Harbour Dune: deep navy suede on a medium tyre and cork sole with a fine red stripe around the edge, a gold buckle and a tan leather heel lining. Rs 9,450.
- Autumn Dune: beige suede on a thick, rigid tyre and cork sole. Rs 9,450.
- Graphite Grace: grey suede on the same thick tyre and cork sole. Rs 7,550.
Regular sizes run from 40 to 46. You can see all of them together in our suede Peshawari chappals collection.
Step one: pick your sole
With suede pairs, the sole matters more than most people expect. It decides how the chappal feels at the end of a long day.
Light EVA foam sole. Signature Black, Coco Dune and Autumn Dune Air sit on EVA foam. Coco Dune and Autumn Dune Air come in at about 300 to 350 grams per chappal, so you barely feel them on your foot. These are the pairs for men who are on their feet all day, travel a lot or simply want comfort first. They all live in our lightweight Peshawari chappals collection.
Medium tyre and cork sole. Harbour Dune sits in the middle. It has a firmer step than EVA and a more grounded feel, without the height of a chunky sole. A good pick if you want one pair that handles both daily wear and a dinner out.
Thick tyre and cork sole. Autumn Dune and Graphite Grace stand on a thick, rigid sole that gives the chappal height and a bold, solid look. Some men love that firm feel underfoot, and it copes well with rough roads. You will find both in our chunky sole chappals.
Step two: pick your colour
- Black (Signature Black): the safest choice. Goes with almost everything, from a white kameez at Jummah to a dark kurta at a wedding.
- Chocolate brown (Coco Dune): warm and easy. Looks good with cream, beige, olive and earthy tones.
- Beige (Autumn Dune and Autumn Dune Air): light and fresh, lovely with white, off white and pastel shalwar kameez, especially in summer.
- Navy (Harbour Dune): calm and a little different. Pairs easily with white, grey or black shalwar kameez.
- Grey (Graphite Grace): sits between black and brown. Our grey Peshawari chappal guide has more on wearing it.
A small tip: darker suede hides everyday dust better, while beige shows it sooner. If you want a low fuss first suede pair, black, brown or navy is the easy start.
Suede for bigger feet
Three of our suede pairs also come in Big and Tall versions, made to order: Signature Black, Autumn Dune and Graphite Grace, each at Rs 9,450. See every large size pair in our Big and Tall collection.
Looking after suede
Suede is easy to live with if you keep it dry and give it a quick brush now and then.
- After wearing, brush off dust with a soft suede brush or a dry cloth, always in one direction.
- If your pair gets wet, let it dry naturally, away from a heater or direct sun, then brush the surface back up once it is dry.
- Don't scrub a mark with water. Let it dry first, then brush gently.
- Store your chappals somewhere cool and dry, not sealed in a plastic bag.
